For any of these length massages, they can be personalized to fit your wants and needs. There are some limitations, for example it would not be wise to spend a full 90 minutes on just the legs or arms as it would cause discomfort and overworking of the muscle fibers. Listen below are some of the techniques and massages that can be done during your treatment.
Intraoral TMJ treatments
Intraoral treatments are used to help treat people who clench or grind their teeth, as well as those with TMJ disorder. It is done by massage the muscles of the face and jaw from both the outer aspects, and the inner. To massage the muscle from inside the mouth, I wear gloves. Intraoral treatments give a therapist the rare chance to treat both sides of a muscle.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Treatments
Manual Lymphatic Drainage can be done as an add on to a regular massage, or made into the main focus of a massage. If it is the main focus of the massage, then the massage is a much more gentle, relaxing massage and focuses more on the lymphatic system.
Sports Massage Treatments
Sports Massage incorporates PNF stretching, or proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, into the massage.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is used to treat fascia. Fascial is a connective tissue that helps connect your skin to your body. When it get restricted or adhesied, it can cause pain and decreased range of motion, or ROM.
