About Me

My name is Laura Allen (nee Metrow). I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since May 2011. I graduated from Lethbridge College with a diploma in Massage Therapy.

I believe in making this world a more inclusive place; my pronouns are she/her or they/them. I am passionate about helping people feel better through massage, and about learning new techniques. I also love helping people learn different forms of home care (like stretching and exercises) to help their bodies heal. I am also passionate about my dog, Honey, and a horse rescue I volunteer with, Bear Valley. I also got married in September of 2016! One day I hope to teach Massage Therapy!

I have experience with prenatal massage in all trimesters*, MVA (motor vehicle accidents), TMJ disorder, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, and more.

*if you are medium-high risk please get your doctor to sign off on massage therapy*

My Philosophy

My philosophy is that through massage you can achieve wellbeing, increased quality of life, and an increased awareness of how to properly care for your muscles, and your body. I also feel that, although massage may not be the answer for everyones pain or issues, working along side other modalities, such as acupuncture and chiropractic, can increase ones quality of life and decrease their pain.
